Macclesfield Post launched in November 2019 and was created as a community website to promote positive news and events in around our town.
We’ve followed as much as we can about the Coronavirus over the last few weeks. After recent announcements from the UK Government, we have made the decision to pause reporting while we face these challenging times.
It appears that we will eventually follow the countries around the world and see a compulsory self quarantine. Quarantine measures have been recommended to reduce pressure on health services and protect anyone that could be more vulnerable to the virus.
These are unprecedented times, our country and the world has not faced such a situation since the Second World War. Words I thought I would never have to hear, never mind write in my lifetime.
As the situation unfolds, we potentially face a situation that will physically isolate us but I hope will unity us all as a community.
Stay Safe.
