The Entertainer, the well known toy retailer opened their new store in Macclesfield on Saturday in the Grosvenor Centre.
Spanning 3,608 square feet, the store in the town’s Grosvenor Centre will be the retailer’s ninth new shop of 2019, after the recent multi million pound expansion in to the old Cheshire Building Society building on Castle Street.
The Entertainer grand opening event was held with a with a ribbon-cutting taking place with Councillor Janet Jackson, the town’s current mayor. The first 20 families through the doors received a lucky dip gift card ranging from £5 to £10.
LEGO Batman made a special appearance at the store through out the day and children took part in a range of in-store events and competitions.
Craig Lowe, events co-ordinator at The Entertainer, said:
“We are really looking forward to The Entertainer’s grand opening event at Macclesfield. It’ll be great for the children to meet some of their favourite life-sized characters and to enjoy our exciting new store.”
The Entertainer will attract more shoppers in the town centre which will continue to help traders.The investment of this new store in Macclesfield continues to prove that there is growing potential on the High Street for the right businesses.
